Ellen Politz joined Corcoran Global Living’s Napa Valley Office in 2011. With more than 20 years of finance and real estate experience, Ellen’s expertise sets the stage for her clients’ elevated real estate experience. Premier service, extensive market knowledge and skillful negotiating are the foundation for Ellen’s approach to helping buyers and sellers reach their goals. Despite starting her career in during an exceptionally challenging time in the real estate market, Ellen has been a top producer each and every year. Ellen is passionate about real estate, and it shows.

Whether Ellen is guiding Sellers to prepare their property for market, which includes extensive valuation, staging, facilitating inspections and/or repairs, or helping Buyers to find the home of their dreams or investment property, she focuses on developing a plan that explores and evaluates all options in the current market. She offers extensive knowledge with a variety of property types including luxury estates, country/acreage, downtown vintage, fixers, condos as well as multi-family units. She has proven success representing both Buyers and Sellers in “multiple-offer” situations, knowing how to effectively advocate for her clients. Ellen also brings construction and project management experience, having managed several property renovations and property management of personal investment properties. In all transactions, keeping her clients informed and part of the process is her key concern.

Ellen also has a proven track record with short sale transactions and distressed property sales. Having worked for over a decade with national and local banks such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Napa National, Ellen has a strong understanding of not only the nuances of finance but how to navigate the challenges of distressed properties at all levels. Her experience as a pre-foreclosure consultant provided her with the acumen and negotiation skills to successfully close over 95% of her short sale transactions.

In addition to her branch and district management experience, she also led successful marketing initiatives for the banking industry. Specifically, she was tasked with increasing the retail presence for Napa National Bank and Lakeside Bank in Chicago. She now leverages that experience to showcase and develop the most expansive and effective “launch” programs for her listings.

Finally, Ellen represents the additional values so important to CGL—giving back to her community. She spent ten years supporting curriculum and fundraising programs for Mt. George Elementary School, St. John’s Lutheran and Justin Siena High School. Ellen also helped to maximize fundraising and net profits for St. Helens Co-op Nursery School. Now that her children are grown, she is focusing her efforts around Napa’s low income community, volunteering regularly with the Napa Food Bank and Yellow Roof Foundation.
