Bio

Four years after graduating from College of Charleston in South Carolina, Beth Medved Waller spent a decade and a half growing a thriving real estate business in her hometown of Front Royal, VA. She has been recognized regionally and nationally with sales awards, ranking as #1 Realtor in Warren County for over a decade (most recently being named #1 Warren Listings Sold Realtor for 2018 and 2019). Soon after being encouraged to open her own boutique real estate brokerage in 2015, she felt called to focus more on her nonprofit endeavors. Having been recognized as Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and been the recipient of the United Way’s President’s Award as well as the American Red Cross Clara Barton Award for Meritorious Leadership, Beth is no stranger to community service. In 2017, she shut down her thriving real estate brokerage (which had, in its first year, become the #3 brokerage in Warren County with only 5 active agents) to devote more time to her WHAT MATTERS Initiatives which she currently funds through her real estate sales.

In 2018, WHAT MATTERS became an official 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit with areas of focus ranging from outreach to fundraising and community to wellness. Current WHAT MATTERS Initiatives include a non-profit center and meeting space on Main Street in Front Royal, hundreds of Facebook video interviews promoting causes/events, matching fundraising campaigns and mission work in partnership with Light Up Life Foundation (an NGO in Uganda, Africa she has partnered with in many ongoing projects, including a school construction project in Bunyade, Uganda). Beth has big plans to expand her outreach through WHAT MATTERS as it becomes an internationally embraced brand of generosity by reminding the world that “what matters is your heart.” She plans to launch global fundraising platforms that nearly effortlessly generate exponential funds by connecting individuals with causes they can affordably support. Her goal is to unify the world through giving via the universal language of music. Launching in 2019 will be her first massive campaign to do so, Dollar Dream Download. Through that initiative, one million people will download the song, “What Matters is your Heart” (already available on all major music outlets from iTunes to Amazon) and the proceeds will be sent to Light up Life Foundations for mission work in Kampala and Bunyade Uganda.

Mother of Will (15) and Sara (13), Beth credits her success to her faith and to the lifelong support she’s received from her community, family and friends.
