Bio

Larry Gibbons, the President of The Gibbons Group, is recognized by Bethesda Magazine as one of the Top Producing Individual Agents in the DC, MD, VA metro area. His real estate work has been featured in Bethesda Magazine and on the Hustle Podcast. Larry attended high school locally in Washington DC at Gonzaga, received his undergraduate degree in business from the University of South Carolina, and received his Master’s in Business Administration degree from George Washington University. He currently lives in the Martin’s Additions neighborhood in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wonderful wife Jessica and their dog Colt.

I grew up in the Washington DC area. Throughout my entire life, my parents have been invested in real estate which meant a lot of relocating. At the current age of 36 years old, I have already lived in 15 different homes. Nevertheless, moving around a lot only brought our family closer together, which is all my parents ever wanted.

What I love the most about my work is that I am no longer working with large companies. Instead, I am working for people, and I feel as though I am making a positive impact on their lives.

I do not just help people buy or sell a house. Any real estate agent can do that. I do more.

What I take the most pride in is helping people understand how buying and selling a home can change their financial futures.

I have had multiple clients over the years in the Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia area buy their first home, live in it for under three years, sell that home, and make an excess revenue of $120,000. Many of them simply decide to use the money to leave, go to another city, and start over because they want a different life. These clients have thanked me immensely and shared, “We are able to do this because you put us in a position to do so, Larry.” This is what I love about my job: when people understand the financial asset that is real estate, it is life changing. It is freedom. It is control. It is everything that everyone wants in life if done properly. That is my passion, and that is why I do this. That is why I just love what I do.
